Account and profile settings
Who this is for: All members who want to update their personal details, manage notifications, or check their subscription. What you'll learn: The difference between account settings and profile settings, where to find each, and how to manage your subscription.
Overview
Settings on Cine Talent India are split into two levels:
- Account settings — things that belong to you as a person, regardless of which profile is active (your email address, password, and account-wide preferences).
- Profile settings — things that belong to a specific profile (your display name, visibility on the platform, and the subscription that powers that profile).
Understanding the difference helps you find what you are looking for quickly.
Account-level settings
Account settings apply to your login and are shared across all your profiles.
To reach account settings, look for the Settings option in the sidebar navigation or in the menu that appears when you tap your profile name or avatar.
What you can manage here:
- Email address — The address associated with your login. Changing it requires re-verification.
- Password — Update your login password. You will be asked to confirm your current password before setting a new one.
- Notifications — Control which platform activities send you alerts (for example, job application updates, event invitations, messages).
Profile-level settings
Profile settings control how a specific profile behaves and appears. Because you can have multiple profiles, each profile has its own settings.
To reach profile settings, first make sure the correct profile is active (switch from the top bar if needed), then tap Profile in the sidebar, and look for the settings or edit options within your profile page.
What you can manage at the profile level:
- Display name — The name shown publicly on your profile. You can update this at any time.
- Profile details — Role descriptions, physical details (for Aspirants), business information (for Recruiters and Service Providers), and any other fields that appear on your public profile.
- Visibility — Whether your profile is searchable by others. You can make your profile private (visible only to those with a direct link) or searchable (discoverable in search results). See the profile stages article for a full explanation.
- Subscription and billing — The plan currently active for this profile, its renewal date, and options to renew or upgrade.
Managing your subscription and billing
Your subscription is tied to a specific profile. To review or renew it:
- Make sure the profile you want to manage is active.
- Go to Profile in the sidebar.
- Look for the Subscription or Billing section within your profile page.
- Here you can see your current plan, how long it is valid for, and any options to renew or change plan.
If your subscription lapses, some features become unavailable. Renewing restores them. See the subscription lifecycle article for a full explanation of what happens during and after a lapse.
Forgot your password?
On the login screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email address. You will receive a link to set a new password. The link expires after a short time, so use it promptly.
What happens next
After updating any account or profile setting, the change takes effect immediately (or after email re-verification if you changed your email address). You do not need to log out and back in.
Common questions
Where do I change my username? Usernames cannot be changed after registration. Your username is part of your permanent Display ID and is locked at account creation.
I changed my email address but I am no longer receiving the verification email. What should I do? Check your spam or junk folder. Make sure the new email address was entered correctly. If needed, log in with your existing email and try the change again.
Does each profile have its own subscription? Yes. Each profile you create (Aspirant, Recruiter, Service Provider) requires its own subscription. Guardian profiles are free and do not require a subscription.
Can I share a subscription between two profiles? No. Each profile is billed and managed independently.
Where do I go if I want to close my account entirely? Contact the platform support team. Full account closure removes all your profiles and data.
I cannot find the Notifications settings. Where are they? Notifications are in your account-level settings, accessible from the settings menu in the sidebar or the top-bar account menu.
